Menlo Park French Colonial Remodel
Our client had a vision of transforming her non-descript ranch style home into a French Colonial with contemporary flair.
Working with the old foundation and portions of roof framing, we updated the exterior look of the house house by clipping the roof eaves and adding crown molding below the gutters, simplifying the window trim and providing banks of double hung window and French doors, and replacing the dash-coat stucco with a smooth hand-troweled stucco.
A relocated front entry opens into a wide, skylit gallery, with public spaces on either side. The grand great room (12′ celings) and master suite together create a rear southwest facing courtyard.
Interior finishes and furnishings were selected by the Owner and Carolyn Woods Interior Design.
