Los Altos Modern Farmhouse II
Our clients came to us uncertain about whether to undertake a remodel or new construction. After much deliberation and discussion, they ultimately chose to do a new build rather than a remodel — a wise choice offering the best design results and return on investment.
Modern Farmhouse has been a very popular style in our clientele since about 2010, and we try to bring something unique to each project we design in this style. Exterior weathered wood is something we hadn’t incorporated into a Farmhouse style project before, but is featured prominently on the exterior of this home.
This home has a very symmetrical front, with a tall entry foyer and two accent gabled volumes on either side. The spacious back patio is perfect for entertaining guests. The sliding glass doors with rake-top transom windows span the entire width of the rear wall, which provides an indoor-outdoor feel when inside the home.
