LOS ALTOS COLONIAL

A new one story house inspired by Colonial architecture, with contemporary interior environment

Restricted by zoning to a 20′ maximum building height, we designed a standard 5:12 slope roof, hiding a low slope roof well containing mechanical units and skylights. Plumbing and mechanical terminations are also be directed toward this well, leaving the surrounding standing seam metal roof free of unsightly penetrations.

Dormers, square columns, simulated divided light windows, and horizontal wood siding create a traditional exterior feel while an open floor plan, high ceilings, expansive rear covered patio and glassy rear elevation create an contemporary interior environment.
